\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The project entitled \u201c<\/strong>CARGO MAINTANANCE SYSTEM\u201d<\/strong> is a web based software that maintains the activities of the cargo company. \u00a0 The project \u00a0is designed in a way that will allow cargo company to process, manage and view consignments as well as administrators to generate and view dynamic\/customized reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Cargo manager would be able to log on to the application \u00a0and \u00a0process the bills and documents\u00a0 as well as to view the existing consignments. The application will interface with the various forms\u00a0 and update relevant databases. The prices are fixed for the existing sources and destinations which can be added according to the need. The cargo manager will\u00a0 be able to view the\u00a0 list of registered customers and keep track of the consignments.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The users can register in the web portal and view the source and the destination to which the cargo can be booked and the price for the cargo if the weight of the consignment is given. The customer can view the status of the booked cargo, can give a cancel request or feedback\u00a0 about the service of the company. The customers can also view the materials banned for booking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main idea behind this project is to implement a new user interface with advanced technology and \u00a0generate the reports to satisfaction of the management to improve the business and customer satisfaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The admin should be able to view and track the details of the customer registrations, the bookings done, the cancellation request by the customer and the current status of the booking. The booking requires user entry of container and product dimensions, together with information on weight and orientation constraints. In-built database facilities for up to 50 containers and 4000 products are provided so that input into these screens can be carried out with minimal effort. If information for a particular product code is already held in the 4000 product database then this is automatically entered into the appropriate fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once input is complete, a summary of input information is provided which might result in a user deciding to return to add items to the consignment, before the optional saving of the data file, and the subsequent packing of the cargo is carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

The user can also give the request to cancel his booking. The banned materials for the booking is displayed to the user so that he can avoid booking the same. The price can for the different destinations can be viewed by the user and make a decision about the mode of booking.<\/span><\/p>\n
