Automated Rice Mill Management System

The project titled “ AUTOMATED RICE MILL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” has been designed using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2008. The coding language used is VB.Net. The back end used is MS SQL Server 2005.

This project system aims at computerising the functions of a rice mill. The activities of rice mill such as procurement of Raw paddy from the farmers, processing it to rice and sending it to the dealers of various parts for sales. The system takes care of the details of the dealers, sales, receipts, day to day expenses of running the mill. The quantity of stock sent to the dealers, the payment received and the balance are maintained. The stock is reduced from the go-down stock once it is dispatched to the dealers.

This project maintains the details of customer, sales, payment received, quantity purchased by the customer, product and stock details. The system also generates the payment outstanding report from each customer which makes the follow-up easier. All the activities regarding rice mill are maintained comparatively easier to the manual system. The system provides maximum flexibility by providing reports on purchase of raw paddy, product wise stock, sales, payment, receipt, customer and farmer details. The new system eliminates the difficulties in the existing system by tracking all the activities of the rice mill and provides the data required by the owner of the rice mill so as to improve the business in a very fast manner. It is developed in a user-friendly manner. The system is tested with various data samples. After testing process, the system is implemented successfully.
